The ruckus happened at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, has also created tremors into the student politics of Madhya Pradesh as well. NSUI and ABVP have come face to face and traded charges against each other over JNU development. They even protested against each other. NSUI held ABVP responsible for JNU incident while ABVP repelled the charges. The student politics started to simmer when NSUI workers amassed outside ABVP office around 4 pm and started to demonstrate. They were led by State President Vivek Tripathi.

The demonstrating NSUI workers demanded ban on ABVP and alleged that they are doing hooliganism in university campuses. Protesters raised slogan against ABVP and also took out rally from Bharat Mata square. “Activists of ABVP entered JNU campus and attacked on girl students which is censurable. I am raising question over the role of Delhi police because they kept mum over the matter. Instead of securing the girl students, police is supporting ABVP. We are opposing the deeds of ABVP and demanding completely ban on the saffron student’s wing,” said Vivek Tripathi, NSUI State President.

Aggrieved over the demonstration of NSUI at its office, ABVP activists came into action and staged protest in front of Congress office. They said that ABVP activists were not present in office during the protest and when they came, protesters of NSUI left the place. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ Abhishekh Tripathi, regional activist from ABVP said, “NSUI members gathered in front of our office and started demonstration. We are criticising the deeds of NSUI and also prayed for well being of NSUI as they are going in wrong direction. NSUI is working against the principles of Indira Gandhi.” They took out ‘Sadbuddhi Yatra’ and lit candle at Congress office in front of status of Indira Gandhi. An alert was sounded to the jurisdictional police station of TT Nagar and Habibganj.
