Some relief in ten previous days, the corona cases saw a sudden spurt in State with detection of 2,958 fresh cases on Friday, which is 85 cases higher than previous day.

 

State capital again is on top with detection of 336 cases in a day, while Janjgir-Champa was in second place with 277 cases and Korba is in third place with 244 cases. With this, the tally of total positive cases reached 1,37,570. 16 deaths were recorded on the day that includes, 10 Covid-19 deaths and 6 co-morbid deaths. 527 patients were cured and discharged from hospital, while number of patient discharged from home isolation was 2,087.

 

Total 2,614 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals and home isolation on the day. Figure of total cured patients tally reached 1,08,935. At present number of active COVID-19 cases are 27,439. 27,439 tests were conducted on the day. As per the details received from State Covid Control Centre, out of 2,958 fresh cases,225 cases were detected in Durg, 194 Rajnandgaon, 71 Balod, 22 Bemetara, 62 Kabirdham, 336 Raipur, 94 Dhamtari, 118 Balodabazaar, 90 Mahasamund, 38 Gariaband, 140 Bilaspur, 229 Raigarh, 244 Korba, 277 Janjgir-Champa, 46 Mungeli, 7 Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 78 Surguja, 43 Koriya,49 Surajpur, 44 Balrampur, 27 Jashpur, 167 Bastar, 78 Kondagaon, 70 Dantewada, 38 Sukma, 89 Kanker, 15 Narainpur, 66 Bijapur and 1 from other state. Numbers of cured patients were 527 which was 42 higher as compared to previous day. 34 were in Durg, 26 Rajnandgaon, 41 Balod, 12 Bemetara, 10 Kabirdham, 83 Raipur, 4 Dhamtari, 21 Balodabazaar, 3 Mahasamund, 5 Gariaband, 29 Bilaspur, 71 Raigarh, 20 Korba, 39 Janjgir-Champa, 9 Surguja, 8 Koriya, 17 Surajpur, 12 Balrampur, 3 Jashpur, 5 Kondagaon, 44 Dantewada, 24 Kanker and 7 Bijapur.
