TWO anti-socials attacked a 36-year-old man, who used to engage free coaching classes for poor students in Pitesur, with stones injuring him seriously in Gittikhadan area on Thursday night. Sikander Azi Miyajul Miya Ali (36), a resident of Pitesur, who suffered serious head injuries, was rushed to the hospital.

 

The accused have been identified as Deepak Raghunandan Ram (36), a resident of Pension Nagar, and Umesh Rajbhar Choube (37), a resident of Surendragad.

 

Around 9.30 pm, Sikadander was cleaning up an open space to allow students to sit for his free coaching classes. The accused duo came and picked-up a quarrel with him saying that the plot belonged to them. After an altercation, they attacked Sikander with stones injuring him seriously.

 

After recording Sikander’s statement, Gittikhadan Police registered an offence under Section 326, 324, 323 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused persons.
