Kotwali cops bust satta den, arrest 13 bookies with cash

Kotwali police busted a den of Satta bookings and nabbed 13 bookies and seized cash of Rs. 73,820 and nine mobile handsets but kingpin of the network managed to escape from the spot, on Friday evening.
 
The arrested have been identified as Piyush Chourasia (26) of Makravahini Mandir, Sanjay Singh Rajput (38) of Chandmari, Ghamapur, Surendra Sindhi (54) of Footatal, Belbagh, Mahendra Vishwakarma (41) of Victoria Hospital, Naresh Sonkar (40) of Khatik Mohalla, Belbagh, Anil Yadav (35) of Bhantallaiyya, Belbagh, Anil Yadav (35) of Belbagh, Anil Kumar Agrawal (55) of Miloniganj, Rajesh Kesharwani (40) of Hathital Colony, Ajay Vishwakarma (32) of Anand Kunj Garha, Santlal Raikwar (64) of Pachperhi, Civil Line, Avesh Jain (45) of Gullaua Chowk, Garha, Sunil Mali (38) of South Miloniganj and Yamlesh Swami (58) of Kotwali while king-pin of Satta network named Naresh Thakur, resident of Singhai Colony managed to escape from the spot.
 
SHO of Kotwali police station, Anil Gupta informed that acting on a tip-off, police team comprised of ASI, Santram Bagri, Head Constable, Vishnu Datt Pandey, Constables, Lalji, Arvind, Pankaj Sanodia, Virendra Dhurve, Mukesh Daheria and Vinod Bansal raided the identified spot near Makravahini Mandir. Kotwali police have registered a case under Section 4A of Satta Act and Section 109 of the IPC and started a rigorous search for the absconding accused Naresh Thakur.
