Dedicated COVID warrior SHO Jaget succumbs to contagion

SHO of Khitola police station Gopal Singh Jaget who selflessly rendered his dedicated services amidst corona crisis succumbed to COVID-19 while undergoing treatment in hospital on Saturday. Jaget was on-duty when he had tested COVID-19 positive and was undergoing treatment at City Hospital since September 18. Receiving the information, senior police officers reached the hospital and condoled untimely and sad demise of the dedicated police officer.
 
Fifty-eight-year-old Gopal Singh Jaget was appointed in Madhya Pradesh Police as constable in 1987 and was promoted as Inspector in 2009. He took charge in Jabalpur in 2019 and also posted in Chhindwara and Bhopal. Police officers paid rich tributes to Gopal Singh Jaget and made necessary preparations for sending the body to his native place at Indraprastha Colony in Vidisha district.
 
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS), Additional SP (Rural), Shivesh Singh Baghel and Reserve Inspector, Saurabh Tiwari also went to handover the body to the bereaved family members. Jaget was native of Tekapar Kala village in Sultanganj area in Raisen district and his family is currently settled in Indraprastha Colony, Vidisha district. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a son.
