Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Limited along with Bhopal Municipal Corporation organised ‘Streets for People Challenge’ programme on Saturday at the Boat Club in Shyamala Hills. The programme started from 6 am and concluded around 9 am.
 
The purpose of the Streets for People Challenge program was to provide entertainment for citizens along with health awareness. This challenge is being organised as per the direction of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. Various traditional sports including zumba, painting, cycling, towing-kassi, badminton were also organised in the programme. In the programme, it will be mandatory to bring mask, hand-sanitiser and water bottle to the people, following the guideline of COVID-19. With this, social distancing was fully followed. Entry was free and people of any age are able to participate in this program.
 
The road was ‘no vehicle zone’ during the programme. Also, fire brigade, ambulance and other arrangements have been made in view of the program. During the programme, attractive gifts were also given to the winners of various traditional sports and competitions. A cleanliness awareness programme was also organised and volunteers were seen holding kiosks of ‘Swachh Bharat’ and ‘Say No to Polythene’.
