Critically injured leopard brought to Van Vihar Park from Indore zoo

A Critically injured leopard has been brought to Van Vihar National Park from Indore zoo on Sunday. The leopard recently underwent CT scan at State Veterinary Hospital in Bhopal where the team found bullets in his head.
 
Van Vihar officials said the leopard wound is recovering fast but he has lost his eyesight. Expert team from Bengaluru also treated the leopard and said that 60 per cent of the wound has healed. Bullets can be operated but it will be dangerous for his life. The team said, bullets have adjusted in the body and it will not harm him. The leopard was being treated in Indore assuming as injured in territorial fight. After the CT scan report, it was found that he had bullets in his body.
 
The leopard was brought to Indore after being rescued from Nayapura area. Officials said that it was being assumed that leopard was injured in fight with other big cat due to which he lost his eyesight. His MRI was also conducted at State Veterinary Hospital, Bhopal for MRI. The leopard was rescued from Nayapura area in critical condition. He was being treated in Indore zoo. When the leopard was brought to Indore zoo, his left eye was completely damaged and his right eye was swollen. The doctor operated his eye after that his vision was improving. He had severe injuries on face and eyes.
