More than 100 employees of Health Department of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) conducted sanitisation drive in many densely populated areas and public places in the city. The civic body is carrying out the drive continuously to check spread of coronavirus infection and protect people from the virus. The Health Department employees executed the work in residential areas apart from schools, colleges, hospitals and public places.
 
Municipal Commissioner, Anoop Kumar Singh informed as many as 21 teams of Health Department conducted drive in Shanti Nagar, Maharana Pratap ward, Chaman Nagar, Karmeta, Gupteshwar ward, Kakraiya tallaiya basti and many several areas of division no 4, division no 15 and ward no 73. Singh said the teams are working tirelessly to protect citizens from the pandemic. The employees with the help of hand-operated pumps and high-pressure pumps are spraying prescribed medicine in residential areas, markets and other public places.
 
 
He said senior officials are constantly monitoring the drive and giving needed directions to the team members. Singh said the senior officials are also visiting the spot and inspecting on-going sanitization work. The Municipal Commissioner has also directed the senior officials of the civic body to shun negligence and execute the work sincerely so that citizens could be protected from COVID-19.
