RAINS drenched few places of Jabalpur, Indore, Hoshangabad and Shahdol divisions. The rest places of State witnessed dry weather. Major rainfall was recorded in Samnapur (3 cm) and Seoni, Chand (2 cm each) respectively. As rains have taken a backseat in most places of the State, heat and humidity is haunting people. The forecast of Weather Department indicates rainfall and thunder activities in some places of Shahdol, Hoshangabad divisions and districts including Singhrauli, Rewa, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwada, Seoni, Mandla, Damoh, Sagar, Burhanpur districts respectively.
 
Thunder activities are likely in some places of Shahdol division and districts including Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwada, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Damoh and Sagar respectively. Bhopal’s maximum temperature rose to 34.4 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees above normal. Its minimum temperature was 19.8 degrees Celsius, 1 degree below normal. The weather conditions in most parts of the state are partially cloudy and bright. As of now, weather conditions are passing through transition phase. As monsoon withdrawal is almost in its final stage, people are anticipating winter season to start within a fortnight.
