People queue up at RTO after office reopens

As RTO office was reopened after four days, a large number of people queued up for their documentation on Monday. The office has taken two days shutdown for maintenance on October 8 and 9 while October 10 and 12 was Saturday, Sunday so office reopened after four days. People having their slot rescheduled the time and appeared at RTO office with large queue on Monday. The office had already declared two days shutdown and asked customers to reschedule their appointment from portal for driving license and renewable process.
 
Officials said that the RTO did not process fresh applications and renewable of expiring documents like learning license, DL, etc for two days. R TO Sanjay Tiwari said people who have rescheduled their appointment queues on Monday. Currently, RTO office is releasing appointment for 300 learning license, 300 DL and more than 200 renewable applications every day. Besides, RTO has also started option of rescheduling appointment in general days from October 12.
 
Applicants will be allowed to reschedule their appointment maximum for two times. On third time, applicants will be charged fine for rescheduling the appointment. RTO official said decision has been taken by the concern department based on the feedback received from people. Many people demanded to get rescheduling option for appointments. He said currently all safety measures are being followed in the office and people are not allowed to gather at one place.
