Collector starts week-long campaign against coronavirus

District Collector Karmaveer Sharma inaugurated a week-long campaign ‘Mission Mask - Jabalpur Jeetega Corona Harega’. The district administration is conducting the drive to prevent Coronavirus infection. On the occasion Sharma administered oath to citizens to follow COVID-19 protocol and also distributed decoction. To check further spread of coronavirus in the district and to protect residents from the dreadful virus, the administration is conducting the public awareness programme till October 18.
A joint team of filed health workers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and assistants of Women and Child Development Department and members of voluntary, social organizations would visit door-to-door in all the villages, slums and other residential areas of the district would appeal citizens to apply mask wherever go out of home. The team members would also ensure arrangement of taking people to Fever Clinic if they have symptoms of infection such as no taste, clod, cough, fever etc.
They would also apprise people about the toll free number 1075 and round-the-clock operational Covid Command Centre telephone no. 0761-2637500 to 2637505. The team members would also administer oath to general public to applying mask and maintain social distancing at public places. Amongst those who were also present on the occasion included senior social worker, Kailash Gupta and senior office-bearers of various voluntary oganisations.
