The NTPC Gadarwara has always been concerned about community development of nearby villages and under the aegis of R&R- CD programme, the power station, on Monday, donated a Community Centre and Aanganwadi Centre at Chor Baretha village of Gadarwara. It was inaugurated at the hands of MLA of Gadarwara, Sunita Patel in the presence of CGM, NTPC Gadarwara, Pradipta Kumar Mishra, GM (TS), Shri Vinay Kumar Garg and GM(HR), Rachana Singh Bhal.
 
NTPC Gadarwara has constructed the Community Centre and Aanganvadi Centre at a cost of Rs 40 lakh. Rachana Singh Bhal, highlighted the R&R work done by NTPC Gadarwara in recent times including hosting free medical camps, free coaching classes, sanitation and cleanliness drive, construction of drains, relief work done by NTPC during COVID-19 etc. On the occasion, Pradipta Kumar Mishra said that Chor Baretha village has been a leading area of NTPC Gadarwara in taking up various and diverse development projects for the benefit of people living in and around the plant area.
 
He also appreciated the efforts of R&R and also highlighted that the facility must be kept in a clean and hygienic manner for the better use of villagers. Sunita Patel said, “The growth of NTPC has played an instrumental role in the development of Gadarwara area.” The villagers interacted with the officials and expressed their happiness at the peripheral development work undertaken by the power major. The Community hall can be used as multi-purpose hall for the benefit of villagers. In addition, NTPC Gadarwara has also recently constructed community centre, classrooms and toilets in Chichali and Gangai villages.
