CM performs virtual bhoomipujan of 107 tap-water schemes

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed virtual bhoomipujan of 107 rural potable water schemes in 18 districts of the State, where by-elections are not taking place, from Minto Hall in State capital on Wednesday. On this occasion, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken an initiative to provide clean water to every house under the ‘Jal Jeevan’ Mission for the people, dwelling in villages.
 
Former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had accomplished the unique task of connecting every village with a pucca road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Present Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to get the important work of water supply done through taps in villages within the stipulated time. Economy is also getting strong in the villages by arrangements of transport, electricity, potable water etc. It is also rendering support in making the local into vocal.
 
It is also essential to become competent in tackling challenges like the current COVID pandemic. CM said that in the coming six months execution of the schemes will be completed. He also called upon the villagers to contribute for the successful operation and maintenance of the potable water schemes.
