On the last day of online five-day virtual theater festival of Admire Theatre, drama Dastan-e-Shivpalganj was broadcast. The story was based on Shri Lal Shukla’s famous novel ‘Raag Darbari’ directed by Sushil Kant Mishra Natya Screenplay written by Pankaj Dubey and Susheel Kant Mishra.

The play focuses on lives of people living in a village located away from a big city, Shivpalganj, which despite progress and development of the past many years has been rooted in inherent selfishness and trauma of many unwanted elements including politics. How can they be right or wrong, are circumstances that cause them to behave in such a way that all people keep thinking about themselves.

This thinking invites a situation in the play that causes humanity to feel crushed under the feet of politics. Earlier, politics was outside the house, but today, by entering inside the house arguments start. Main reason for doing this drama is not to give any sermon but to show mirror by pointing towards today’s system which is increasing stress in relations due to politics. Presentation-message given by the actors of Natya Manch Umaria. Dr Pradeep Varma, of Admire Theater, told that thousands of viewers enjoyed online theater festival everyday.
