In view of forthcoming festival of Navratri from October 17, a huge inflow of devotees are expected in various temples, pooja pandals and other places. Under prevailing situation due to pandemic caused due to corona virus, chiefs of Hindu religion belonging to people from various sections of society, pooja pandals have been urged to strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocol released by district administration. As per online darshan facility initiated by district administration, people have been tolf to prefer online darshan sp as this would enable to combat COVID-19.
 
According to information, in view of severity caused due to COVID-19 chiefs of Hindu religion belong to various sects have made appeal to people to desist from venturing out during the nine day festival beginning from October 17. People must take gravity of the present situation and should lend their fullest cooperation by observing the festival within their respective homes. As any unwarranted movement with large number of gathering at worship places would prove costly to people as the danger of COVID-19 still exists. The best way to combat COVID-19 to ensure optimal isolation therefore people must avoid pooja pandals and temples across the city area.
 
Various pooja pandals have been urged by religious heads to comply with directives issued by administration in backdrop of covid-19 protocol. Pooja pandals committees have been asked to make ‘Ghat Sthapna’ and to ensure physical distancing in pooja pandals. Also that committees have been asked not take out procession during immersion of idols. Various seers from Jabalpur have expressed satisfaction on declining number of COVID-19 cases in city. Among the chiefs of various sects includedShyamdevacharya Maharaj, Akhileshwaranand Giri Girishanand Saraswati and others. Also that Collector Karmveer Sharma along with SP Siddarth Bahugun held courtesy meeting with Shyamdevacharya Maharaj, Akhileshwaranand and Giri Girishanand Saraswati. They apprised the religious heads of issued by administration in view of festival season.
