Taking Ujjain incident seriously wherein at least eleven people died after consuming illicit liquor allegedly, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan convened a special meeting at his residence on Thursday morning and said that Special Investigation Team (SIT) should probe the incident. CM said that stringent action should be taken against people selling such substances.
 
The network of such people should be destroyed. He further instructed that if such substances are being sold at several other places in the state, police force should find out and take strict action against the culprits. He said that Additional Chief Secretary, Home, should co-ordinate in the case and submit a report on the basis of preliminary inquiry. He said that people selling such poisonous intoxicants are enemies of the society. They should get severe punishment.
 
Action should be taken to ensure capital punishment to them. The people who lost their lives were also very poor. Probably, they must have been taking this type of intoxicants for several days. The network of people selling such intoxicants should be destroyed. He instructed to keep a watch on such cases, not only in Ujjain but also in the entire State.
