Gobra-Navapara Police intercepted a huge cache of explosives from a man near Chhallani Petrol Pump at Gobra-Navapara on Thursday. Police also seized 7,000 detonators, ammonium nitrate and gun powder from him. On the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police cum Deputy Inspector General Ajay Yadav and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rural Tarkeshwar Patel, a team of Gobra-Navapara Police led by trainee DSP Prashant Khande, Inspector D Sidar, FSL Officer P L Chandra swung into action after receiving intelligence report about a suspicious person loitering near the Chhallani Petrol Pump with huge bags.
 
The team swiftly reached the spot and rounded up the man identified as Sudhanshu Jain (31), resident of Gobra-Navapara. The man initially attempted to give misleading information, but on stern inquisition, Sudhanshu led police team to his car garage near his warehouse. During the search, police made startling revelation, when they discovered 7,000 pieces of non-electronic detonators, 650 gram of ammonium nitrate and 56.20 gram of gun powder. Police charged Jain under Section 4, 5 of Explosive Substance Act 1005 and Section 9B of Explosives Act 1884 against Sudhanshu Jain.
