On the occasion of Global Hand Washing Day, schools organised hand washing activity in the campus for higher class students amid covid-19 safety protocols while the same was followed online by students at home on Thursday. Government schools also observed the day in campuses where students washed their hands with liquid hand wash while maintaining social distancing and other precautionary measures against the pandemic.

School teachers demonstrated steps of hand washing on the theme ‘Hand Hygiene for all’ under online activities of ‘Hamara Ghar Hamara Vidyalaya’ and CM Rise on the day. Schools have also been asked to create awareness on hand washing and paste posters at the place of washing hands. Rajya Shiksha Kendra expressed necessity for availability of hand sanitisation in schools.

The Kendra has instructed to make hand washing step the foremost step before commencing the day in school. Students should be taught washing hands before eating lunch, coughing or sneezing after using lavatories etc. Students should adopt hand washing activity on regular basis.
