Cops arrested the main accused in the barbaric thrashing of an auto-rickshaw driver reported on October 11 under Adhartal police station. as per reports, three goons had thrashed an auto-rickshaw operator after an accident in which two girls on a two-wheeler were injured in a mishap. One of the girls sustained minor injuries and the sister lodged complaint in Adhartal police station. The auto-driver was beaten up by accused, Abhishek Dubey, Akshay Shivharey, Manoj Dubey and Chandan Singh. Of the four accused two were rounded up by police within 24 hours of the incident but the main accused, Abhishek Dubey alias Guddi (40), resident of Neta Colony, was arrested from Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) after a chase. After being arrested, he was brought to Jabalpur and was subjected to street parade on the way to court.

 

Cops finally arrested the main absconding accused in the case of physical abuse that went viral on social media. The accused was absconding and was finally located in Gaziabad. as per reports, on October 11 at around 4.30 pm, near Shobhapur bridge, two girls met with a freak mishap after an auto laden with iron bars hit their two-wheeler. In the process the girls fell down as one sustained minor injuries. The girls then called their family members and Abhishek Dubey, Akshay Shivharey, Manoj Dubey and Chandan Singh thrashed the auto driver causing multiple injuries. The girls then lodged complaint in Adhartal police station and the auto-driver also filed his statement on which cops registered case under section 294, 323, 307, 34 of IPC against the four accused. The thrashing incident was recorded and was uploaded on social media and the clip went viral. The main accused then fled from the city. Cops however managed to round up two associates. Carrying out further investigations, the SP Jabalpur announced award of Rs 10,000 for the main accused. Seeking help from informers, cops came to learn that the main accused was on his way to Gaziabad. Carrying of chase, cops finally nabbed the accused in a Swift car. The fourth absconding accused, Chandan Singh remains at large against whom search operation is continuing. SP Jabalpur Siddarth Bahuguna has announced cash reward for the police team which apprehended the main accused.
