CHANDRAPUR, CORONA Warriors ASHA workers were felicitated on behalf of MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar in a programme held at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Library, the other day for their dedicated work in tackling crises. The programme was organised under joint aegis of Shri Mata Kanyaka Seva Sanstha and MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar. Mayor Rakhi Kancharlawar informed that ASHA workers are playing an important role in crisis of Corona and they must get their due for the hard work.
 
Therefore, Chandrapur Municipal Corporation has accepted demand for additional Rs 4,000 as remuneartion from them during this crisis. She, however, accepted that the Municipal Corporation was unable to pay the sum immediately due to lack of help from the State Government, but maintained that they would be paid in next 10 days. BJP City President Dr Mangesh Gulwade graced the programme while Deputy Mayor Rahul Pavade, Treasurer of Shri Mata Kanyaka Seva Sanstha Anil Dandamwar, BJP leaders Rajendra Gandhi, Pramod Kadu, Prakash Dharne, Adv Suresh Talewar, Subhash Kasangottuwar Brijbhushan Pajare, Ravi Jogi, BJP District president Vishal Nimbal-kar, Prashant Vighneshwar were present on stage.
 
Kancharlawar said that ASHA workers are doing a great work of conducting survey and creating awareness among the people about misconceptions towards COVID-19. She called upon Asha workers to explain the people not to believe in rumours. As many as 35 ASHA workers from seven zones were felicitated on behalf of MLA Mungantiwar with vaporizing machine, Arsenic Album, masks and safety shields sponsored by Shri Mata Kanyaka Seva Sanstha on the occasion. Zone heads of ASHA workers were given material for distribution. Other guests including Dr Gulwade, Anil Dandamwar and Rajendra Gandhi were felicated by presenting ‘Gram Geeta’ on the occasion. They all praised the work of Sudhir Mungnatiwar during the COVID crises and informed people about his initiatives. Prashant Vighneshwar conducted the proceedings while Subhash Kasangottuwar proposed a vote of thanks.
