Drunk man kills friend for not making egg curry

A man killed his friend for not making egg curry. The accused was arrested by Mankapur police from bus terminus on Saturday. A man identified as Banarasi (40) was found dead near Shrikrishna Auto garage with wounds on the head on Saturday morning. Mankapur police sent the body for post-mortem and registered a case of murder against unidentified accused.
During investigation, the police learnt that Banarasi was labour and used to spend time with one Gaurav alias Nikki Shailendra Gaikwad (38), a resident of Mhada quarters, Godhni. The cops visited house of Gaikwad where he was not present. A neighbour told the police that Gaikwad was seen going somewhere with a bag. The police immediately started checking for Gaikwad at railway stations and bus terminus and apprehended him from bus terminus. A police official said that Banarasi had invited Gaikwad for lunch on Friday night. The two got heavily drunk by 10 pm. When Gaikwad asked Banarasi for food, he told him that he forget to make egg curry.
The answer irritated Gaikwad and he tried to pressurise Banarasi for egg curry. A fight broke out between the two over the issue. In a fit of rage, Gaikwad attacked Banarasi with a rod, the police official said. Sustaining grievous injuries on head, Banarasi collapsed on the ground in pool of blood and died on the spot, the police official said. The arrest was made by Police Inspector Ganesh Thakre, PI Krishna Shinde, PSI Kailas Magar and staff including Yuvraj Sahare, Amit Mishra, Ravindra Bhujade, Ankush Rathod, Praveen Bhoyar and others.
