Streets for People Challenge programme was organised by Smart City Company on Shahpura Street and Boat Club, on Sunday. The event was held from 6 am to 9 am. Smart City officials said that the objective of the programme is to make people health conscious along with entertainment.
 
Other traditional sports, including Zumba, painting, cycling, towing-kassi, badminton was also organised during this period which witnessed good response. The initiative is to create awareness on health benefits linked with physical exercise. The residents including students and children took part in the three-hour challenge where fun games were also organised. Artist painted roads to display messages about safe disposal of bio-medical waste and other activities kept the participants engrossed till 9 am. Roads turned into no motor zone during the period.
 
Children also enjoyed the event and used their brushes to paint nature on canvas. Many people played musical instruments. Kiosks for Swachh Bhopal also spread awareness about importance of maintaining cleanliness especially during COVID-19. Main focus was on segregation of waste at source level and volunteers were also seen talking to public to ensure safe disposal of PPE kits and masks.
