Soldier Shubham Rahangdale laid to rest with State honours

 WARASEONI: The mortal remains of soldier Shubham Rahangdale being taken for the last rites.

Waraseoni, Soldier Shubham Rahangdale, resident of village Kanchanpur of Sarandi village panchayat, was paid a tearful adieu by the family members and locals. The last rites were held with State honours. It may be mentioned that Shubham Vinod Rahangdale (24) suffered critical injuries when he slipped during PT exercise at pole at Jalandhar Camp on October 5. He suffered internal injuries and was undergoing treatment. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
 
He is survived by parents, two brothers, grandparentsand family members. He is the eldest among his siblings. He joined the Army at the age of 20 years after getting inspired from a fellow villager. He was posted at Jaat Regiment at Jalandhar. The mortal remains of soldier was brought to Jabalpur on Oct 16 and then brought to village Kanchanpur on a decorated Army truck. Then locals paid glowing tribute to the soldier. Guard-of-honour was given to the brave martyr by the Army and police personnels. Then funeral procession was started.
 
MP State Mining Development Corporation Chairman and MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, political arties leaders, large number of locals attended the last rites of the soldier which was performed in the field of the family. Former MLA Dr Yogendra Nirmal, Tehsildar Rajendra Tekam, SDOP Arvind Shrivastava, TI Neeraj Meda, State BJP Kisan Morcha State Secretary Niranjan Bisen, Vikram Deshmukh and other dignitaries attended the funeral procession of the soldier.
