Three held but cops fail to save abducted boy

Police arrested the three abductors and retrieved cash of Rs 7.66 lakh of ransom of Rs 8 lakh but failed in saving the life of abducted teenage boy. The arrested have been identified as Rahul alias Monu Vishwakarma (30), son of Rajendra Vishwakarma, Malay Rai (25), son of Dharmendra Kumar Rai and Karan Jaggi (24), son of Manohar Jaggi, residents of Maharajpur in Adhartal. Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Sunday.
 
SP Bahuguna informed that on October 15, Mukesh Lamba (41), resident of MIG, Dhanvantri Nagar, working as transporter and dealer of stones lodged a complaint at Sanjeevani Nagar police station that his son Aditya Lamba (13) went out from the house. Soon after, his wife received a ransom call from unidentified who demanded ransom for released her son and disconnected the phone. Sanjeevani Nagar police had registered a case under Sections 363A and 365 of the IPC.
 
Taking a serious note into the case, SP Bahuguna constituted a team led by senior police officers and separate teams were sent for rescuing abducted child. After an one hour of abduction, the accused again called the parents and told to make arrangements of Rs 2 crore for ransom of their child and threatened to inform the police. The abductors also held talk of child with his father. Mukesh Lamba expressed his helplessness in arrangement of such a grand amount and informed about arrangement of Rs 8 to 10 lakh but the abductors demanded minimum payment of Rs 1 crore.
 
On October 16, at 8 pm, abductors called Mukesh Lamha and asked about ransom when he informed that he managed to arrange only Rs 8 lakh. Then the abductors asked him for reaching at Sihora road through Andhmuk by-pass alone for exchange of his child against the ransom and again threatened to kill his son in case of informing the police. Acting on the information, separate police teams were deployed in civil dress and were directed for not taking action till the handing over of abducted child to his father. Mukesh Lamba reached at Khajri Khiriya by-pass where abductors directed him on phone for placing the bag of cash on roadside and leaving the spot and wait for his son at Dhanvantri Nagar square. Lamba reached Dhanvantri Nagar square and waiting for hours but failed in receiving his son. Taking a serious note on the situation, police teams were activated and nabbed the three abductors and asked them about location of child. In the interrogation, accused disclosed that they were afraid when the abducted child identified one of them Rahul Vishwakarma. They killed the child by strangulating him and thrown the body into canal in Panagar after recording his voice on phone. Thereafter, accused called to Lamba and directed him to bring money. 
 
CM asks ADGP Katiyar to act strictly in murder case Taking a serious note into the case, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence), Adarsh Katiyar for taking stern action against the killers of 13-year-old abducted child. CM Chouhan has directed the police for not sparing any of the accused involved in brutal killing of the child.
