Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that by making an indecent comment against BJP candidate from Dabra Imarti Devi, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has insulted entire women and this also shows his narrow mindset. If top leadership of Congress respects women then it should tender an apology to the women of entire country. Chouhan was speaking after ending ‘Maun Upwas’ (silent fast) in Bhopal on Monday. He said that Kamal Nath crossed all limits of arrogance. He sought reply from AICC chief Sonia Gandhi over objectionable comment of Kamal Nath by saying that she too is a woman and whether she is not disappointed by the objectionable comment?

“For us, respect of mother, sisters and girls is top priority. In Navratri, we worship girls, they are goddess for us. But in this Navratri, Kamal Nath made an indecent comment against Imarti Devi and insulted her. Kamal Nath do so again and again. By doing so, his face wears an elated feeling. Which kind of values is this Kamal Nath,” he questioned. MP BJP President V D Sharma and Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also observed ‘Maun Upwas’ in Gwalior and Jyotiraditya Scindia observed the same in Indore respectively. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar took strong objection over Kamal Nath’s remark against Imarti Devi and said that Kamal Nath’s remark shows anti-women nature of Congress.

Owing to such kind of act, Congress has slipped into oblivion. He also demanded that in lieu of Kamal Nath’s comment, Congress top leadership should tender unconditional apology to the women of entire nation. Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia said in Indore that from top to bottom leaders of Congress are making unnecessary comments. “Whether it is not a matter of shame that Kamal Nath made indecent comment against women who was minister in his Cabinet. If Congress crosses the boundaries set up by ancestors in elections then it will have to pay the price,” he said.
