General insurance employees stage demo

As per directives of Joint Forum of Unions and Associations in public sector general insurance companies (PSGI) consisting of 13 unions/associations, on Tuesday during lunch hour demonstrations were held at all the centers in the country where regional offices of PSGI, are situated. The employees demonstrated for their following demands:- At Nagpur, the general insurance employees staged demonstrations in front of regional office of United India Insurance Company Limited situated at Shankar Nagar.
The employees raised slogans of their demands, condemn General Insurers (Public Sector) Association of India, GIPSA, for not taking efforts for negotiations and Government of India for its anti employees and anti Public Sector Policies. After demo a meeting was organized in which Rajendra Saroj of National Insurance Company Officers Association(NICOA), Vinod Ingle of Oriental Insurance Company Officers Association (OICOA), Anil Nimje of United India Insurance Company Officers Association (UIICOA) and Com. Pradeep Dharamthok, working President of General Insurance Employees’ All India Association(GIEAIA) addressed the gathering.
The meeting was conducted by Prashant Dixit, Joint Secretary, GIEU -Western Zone. Employees from the offices situated in the city attended the demonstrations.
