‘Environmental imbalance needs urgent attention’

CHANDRAPUR, THE BALANCE of the environment has been disturbed due to man-made technological disasters. The spread of technology in the name of making life pleasant and luxurious is now posing a threat to life itself on the earth, lamented MLA Kishor Jorgewar urging people to take serious note of the situation. He emphasised on the need of planting trees and nurturing them and lauded efforts of environmentalist to save Mother Nature.
 
 
Jorgewar was addressing a programme organised jointly by Paryavaran Samvardhan Va Vikas Samiti and State Pollution Control Board to felicitate coronavirus warriors and environmentalists. Senior leaders including Rajendra Vaidya, Hirachand Borkute, Dr Bhagat, Rajesh Solapan, Shubhangi Dongarwar, Dr Prasad Potdukhe, Sunil Dahegaonkar, Dr Dev Kannake, Jagdish Lonakar, Priyadarshan Ingle, Anita Walke were prominently present on the occasion. Speaking further, Jorgewar informed that extensive exhaustion of the natural resources is underway leading to environmental disasters.
 
There is a need of acknowledge vast existence of nature to avoid the catastrophe. Chandrapur district has vast expanses of forest yet it is leading district in environmental pollution in the State. While this is a very serious situation, environmentalists are fighting to find a remedy, he said assuring to provide all assistance for the cause. Corona warriors and environmentalists including Dr Prasad Potdukhe, Dr Ashish Zulme, Dr Vidyadhar Bansod, Rekha Khobragade, Shilpa Kondawar, Nilam Suramwar were felicitated on the occasion.
