Raipur Police crack abduction case within 24 hrs

In a swift move, Raipur Police cracked an abduction case with the arrest of three men, who had abducted a son of one businessman from Shankar Nagar area on Wednesday midnight. From the abduction to the arrest of abductors and recovery of the boy, Police arrested the abductors within 24 hours. Late on Wednesday night, a boy named Mohammad Yunus, son of Mohammad Hanif was kidnapped by some unidentified persons from Shankar Nagar. As the boy didn't return on expected time, his father called him up, but no one picked up the call. At round 11:44 pm, after picking up the boy in front of Prism Medical Store, the abductors, using the cell phone of the boy, had called up and demanded Rs 30 lakh, as a ransom money. The abductors even allowed the boy to talk on phone with his father. The scared boy told that he was blindfolded and had no idea where he was taken to.
 
The boy asked his father to give whatever the kidnappers were asking for or else he will get killed. The abductors repeatedly talked through the cell phone of the kidnapped boy. Notably, the boy was trapped after being lured in by a fake Id on Facebook. The kidnappers have had created fake id of a girl on Facebook and called him at the kidnapping spot from the same fake id. Extremely worried relatives reported the entire incident to the police, saying that the boy was missing and some unidentified people just called to them and demanded extortion. The police responded with alacrity and constituted special teams to collect and follow the lead. Police teams spread out in all possible directions where the kidnappers could have headed.
 
All night long police teams were on the manhunt. One of the teams headed Gariaband after receiving some clues that the accused have had taken the route. As the Police called on the phone number of the kidnapped boy, abductors kept on repeating their demand and told them to drop the money near Wallfort City at Bhatagaon. tracked down the abductors at Ghatarani and recovered the abducted boy. According to the sources, Police used mobile phone location of the abductors to zeroed in on their position. Three men were taken into the custody subsequently, one from Bhatagaon and two from Gariaband district whereas, one of the abductors was reportedly still at large by the time of filing of the report. So the police laid the trap and sent a personnel in disguise of a relative of the boy and deployed many other personnel around the area.
 
Just as the accused came on a car to take the money, police swiftly nabbed him. The first abductor was identified as Amin Ali, a resident of Moudhapara. Ali then divulged information about his other accomplices and their location. So, one team was dispatched to forest on Ghatarani road. The abductors, getting a whiff of the situation, attempted to run, but were cordoned off and caught. One of the accused, however, jumped out of the car and disappeared in the forest while others as Piyush Raichura and Francis Manjhi were apprehended. They were also changing the number plate of their vehicle a Swift Dzire CG-04-HV-7621 and Dio CG-04-LK-8394 that were seized by the police.
 
The accused, after the abduction, took the boy to several places like Raipur to Dhamdha, Gandai, Chhuikhadan, Khairagarh, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Dhamtari, Arang and then to Ghatarani. Police also confiscated a rope, and a knife from them. Search for absconding accused Rohan alias Sandeep was still on. Police booked them under Section 364A of Indian Penal Code.
