Union MoS Patel pays tributes to senior scribe Ajit Verma

The Journalists’ Association of the city, on Friday, held a condolence meeting to pay tributes to veteran journalist, founder and Chief Editor of Dainik Jailok, Ajit Verma. Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Prahlad Patel, senior office-bearers of various cultural, social organizations, public representatives, administrative, police officials and journalists participated in the programme.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Patel said Verma will always be remembered for his effective journalism. He urged everybody to extend support in fulfilling the unfulfilled dreams of Verma. Patel also asked people to stand by his family in the manner in which late Verma used to participate extensively in social affairs and played a role in keeping traditional, cultural activities alive through the Mitrasangh.
 
Other speakers also shed light on the works and life of Ajit Verma and said he had made the city and the State proud by his journalism for more than 55 years. Senior office-bearers and members of Jabalpur Patrakar Sangh, Madhya Pradesh Shramjivi Patrakar Sangh, Journalist Association of Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh Shramjivi Patrakar Parishad, Press Club of Jabalpur, Photo Journalist Welfare Association, Jabalpur Mahila Patrakar Sangh, Chitranjali, Mitrasangh and others paid tributes to late Verma.
