Chhattisgarh recorded a total of 2,637 positive cases of Coronavirus across different districts on Friday. However, there was a relieving drop in the death toll on Friday with five fatalities including 3 victims with co-morbidities. The total cases recorded in Chhattisgarh stood at 1,18,790 on Friday. The total patients discharged were 2,586 including 603 from different hospitals & Covid centres and 1,983 from home isolation. The active cases dropped to 29693, below 30000 after a long time.
 
Total patients discharged till date were 88,095 including 34,226 from home isolation and 53,869 from hospitals. The capital city of Raipur also recorded a relatively moderate increase in the numbers COVID-19 positive cases with 395 patients on Friday. Durg district recorded a big jump with a total of 362 cases, Rajnandgaon 152, Balod 81, Bemetara 19, Kabirdham 43, Dhamtari 36, Balodabazaar 117, Mahasamund 59, Gariyaband 57, Bilaspur 158, Raigarh 218, Korba 179, Janjgir-Champa 200, Mungeli 37, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 0, Surguja 52, Koriya 35, Surajpur 50, Balrampur 14, Jashpur 8, Bastar 83, Kondagaon 43, Dantewada 90, Sukma 46, Kanker 27, Narayanpur 19, Bijapur 55, and 2 from other states.
 
The list of fatalities was totally dominated by males as all five deceased were men. Out of five deceased men, one was from Khamardih Raipur and one from Shanti Vihar Colony Tatibandh Raipur, one from Dhanpur in Janjgir-Champa district, one from Lakhanpur in Surguja one from Antagarh in Kanker district. Even as the death toll was low, all three deceased victims were from Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital, one from Government medical College Hospital, Ambikapur and one from Dedicated Covid-19 hospital, Kanker.
