TUs start protests ahead
Senior leaders of several trade unions started series of protest and demonstration prior to the nation-wide indefinite strike in Ordnance Factories from October 12. Series of protest and demonstration was started after garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary, on Friday.

It may be noted that the nationwide indefinite strike in ordnance factories has been declared on the call of All India Defence Employees Federation (AIDEF), Bharatiya Pratiraksha Mazdoor Sangh (BPMS) and Indian National Defence Workers Federation (INDWF) to register protest against corporatization of Ordnance Factories.

On the occasion, AIDEF, National President, SN Pathak said that strike is the democratic right of every citizen and it is their right to register their protest against the Government to fulfil their demands. Instead of completing the commitment made during previous the strike, the Government has declared corporatization of Ordnance Factories.

Senior trade union leaders, Nem Singh, B Guhathakurta, Arun Dubey, Narendra Tiwari and a large number of members and employees were present.
