Post-monsoon, people experiencing pinch of cold in city atmosphere

City has started showing signs of winter as nights are becoming colder. As monsoon has withdrawn from the region as the Weather Department had declared end of monsoon on September 30, there will be fall in night temperature. People have started feeling a slight pinch of cold during wee hours. Change in weather conditions is signaling towards arrival of winter. Minimum temperature in the city on Saturday was 21 degrees Celsius, which is 1 degree below normal.
As per data of yesteryears, city experiences a fall in minimum temperature of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the month of October. Local Weather Department also predicts that there could be a further fall in minimum temperatures over the coming weeks. However, maximum temperature will remain moderate at 30 degrees or plus. Last year, the city recorded minimum temperature of 22.2 degrees Celsius on October 3. Although there will be no sudden change in climatic conditions during the month, but the city will expedience fall in night temperature.
Skies will remain clear, until any disturbances occur, as now the monsoon has already withdrawn from the region. Wind direction has changed to northern, it will affect the temperature, especially minimum temperature and nights will become colder.
