Former Assembly Speaker and Congress MLA N P Prajapati has tried to corner BJP-led State Government over increasing rape cases in Madhya Pradesh. Prajapati claimed that within 15 days, women and girls have been raped in six districts, including Narsinghpur. Addressing a press conference at State Congress Headquarters, N P Prajapati said that a gangrape victim, a dalit woman in Narsinghpur district, ended her life as police was not lodging her complaint.

Taking a dig at Chouhan, he said that when victim was ending her life, at that time CM was reviewing law and order situation in Bhopal. Opening the front against State Government over suicide by gangrape victim of Richai village in Narsinghpur district, he alleged political interference in the Police Department. He asserted that officers, by forgetting their duty, are busy in making rounds around politicians.

State Government is busy in transfer posting and no attention is being paid on law and order situation. Connecting gangrape incident of Narsinghpur with Hathras gang rape case, he told that girls could not be saved only through slogans of ‘Save Girl Child, Teach Girl’.
