An 11-year-old boy met an untimely end when his bicycle skidded on the road in Sadar area under the jurisdiction of Cantt police station late night on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Akshat (11), son of Deepak Jaiswal, a resident of Sadar. SHO of Cantt police station, Vijay Tiwari informed that police received information of an accident in the area and police team reached the spot and learnt that a man sent the injured boy to his home. Police team reached the residence of boy and learnt that he was rushed at hospital by his relatives.
 
Thereafter, police received information that the injured was declared brought dead in primary check-up at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. Receiving the information, police team reached the hospital and sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama. SHO Vijay Tiwari informed that prima facie, police have learnt that the boy sustained internal injury in his chest when his bicycle skidded on the road. He had no other external injury in the accident.
 
On the other hand, bereaved family members informed that their son informed about breathlessness after the accident when they took him at to three to four private hospitals where doctors refused treatment. They took him at Medical College and Hospital where Akshat was declared brought dead. Taking a serious note into the case, police officers along with FSL team reached the spot and started investigation to ascertain reason behind the death of boy. Cantt police have registered intimation while further investigations are underway to ascertain reason behind the death.
