FDP on system engineering concludes at IIIT-NR

Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology (SPM-IIIT), Naya Raipur successfully organised five-day online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘System Engineering - Recent Trends and Advances in Internet of Things’ from September 30 to October 4, sponsored by AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. FDP got an overwhelming response across all over the India from different states and participants were from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), IIIT, BITS Pilani and government/private engineering colleges.
 
78 participants registered for this online FDP, and got benefitted from eminent speakers’ research experience. Participants welcomed the ATAL academy initiative for conducting the online FDP and sanctioning it to IIIT, Naya Raipur. The online FDP course content, selection of topics and delivery of content was well appreciated by the participants, and they were very ready to join such events in the future, too. During the technical sessions, they were introduced to cutting edge technology starting from basics and ending with research problems to explore further.
 
Eminent speakers Dr Shrivishal Tripathi and Dr Akhilesh Mohan discussed about antenna, Masive MIMO and 5G technology. Dr Muneendra Ojha, Dr Sandeep Yadav and Dr Sudhakar Pandey explored the advanced technology application such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts with participants. Introduction to IoT, sensors, architecture and hands on session using Arduino were deliberated by Dr Punya P Paltani, Dr Manoj Majumder and Dr Anurag Singh. The application of IoT in smart city project case study and future research area were discussed by Professor O P Vyas, where he shared his experience of smart city project, Indo-Norway Project CPSEC, funded by DST-India, RCN-Norway. Co-ordinators of the workshop Dr ShrivishalTripathi, Dr ManojkumarMajumder, and Dr Anurag Singh were present in the valediction.
