Padia resident martyr Dhirendra to be laid to rest today

CRPF jawan and Satna resident, Dhirendra Tripathi laid down his life in service of the nation in a terrorist attack the convoy of CRPF on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Pampor, Pulwama, on Monday. Martyr Dhirendra Tripathi (32), son of Ramkalesh Tripathi, is a resident of village Padia near Khaira of Rampur Baghelan. Last time he visited his house was in month of March. He is survived by his mother, father Rakalesh who is also in CRPF, wife and a three-year-old son.
 
His wife and mother stay in Bhopal. As soon as news of martyrdom of Dhirendra was received, a pall of gloom spread in the village. The villagers, though sorrowful, are full of pride for their son who sacrificed his life for the nation. His wife and mother left for Padia village from Bhopal and his father is expected to come from Balaghat to attend the last rites. The last rites of martyr soldier would be done at Padia village with full State honours on Wednesday.
 
This village had no connecting road hence district administration constructed a temporary road within hours so that vehicle carrying mortal remains of the martyr soldier can reach the village. The body was flown to Lucknow from Srinagar in a special Army aircraft on Tuesday evening and then via road in Army vehicle mortal remains will be brought to his native village.
 
The mortal remains are expected to arrive at village by 11 pm on Tuesday hence last rites would be held on Wednesday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be attending the last rites of the martyr soldier. The Collector, SP, Satna and host of administrative officers visited village Padia to meet father of the martyr soldier and look after the arrangements.
