Railway Protection Force (RPF), Bhopal, on Tuesday handed over a minor boy to his mother at Itarsi station. The boy fled his home and reached Itarsi Railway Station after his mother scolded him. According to railway officials, while making routine checking, RPF team held the 12-years-old boy in suspected condition from 02296 Danapur-KSR Bangalore special trains.
 
When cops enquired the boy about parents and home, he started crying. Passengers in the coach stated that the boy was travelling alone. The team deboarded boy at Itarsi railway station and enquired strictly. He told his name as Abhay Thakur, resident of Patna, Bihar. He accepted that he ran away from home on October 3 after his mother scolded him and boarded train randomly.
 
RPF team contacted the concerned police station in Patna and further collected the mobile no of his parents. His parents were contacted through mobile number and they were informed that the boy is safe at Itarsi station. His mother and maternal uncle reached to Itarsi railway station on October 5 and identified him. After completing the documentation, boy was handed over the family.
