Wildlife Week celebrations to conclude today

ON THE sixth day of state-level wildlife week celebrations, bird-watching and nature camp were organised at Van Vihar National Park especially for the female participants. In this camp, 42 females participated in Pink attire. Kamla Lad, spouse of PM Lad, first Director of the park was present during the programme.
 
In the camp participants watched birds like Kingfisher, Wooly Neck Stark, Cormorant, Lesser Whistling Teal, Red Munia, Green Bee Eater, Bulbul, Black Red Start, Ashy Prinia, Jakana, Dove, Herron etc. There was also a creative workshop for school students in which 38 students participated. In this workshop, children learned the technique of making birds, butterflies, flowers etc with the use of paper.
 
They also learned how to make Saran Crane, face mask with paper. There was also ‘Just a minute’ and a fancy dress competition that were telecast live. The programme will conclude on Wednesday in the presence of Minister Dr Vijay Shah, MP Government. Winners of the competition held during the week will be awarded in the concluding ceremony.
