The work is being carried out seeking help from 89 corona warriors who have taken up the responsibility to disinfect 79 municipal wards falling under the ambit of JMC
 
 
With an aim to contain any further spread of COVID-19, the Jaablpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has been consistent in ensuring that in areas earmarked as containment, disinfection with spray of chemicals and insecticides is carried out regularly. The work is being carried out seeking help from 89 corona warriors who have taken up the responsibility to disinfect 79 municipal wards falling under the ambit of JMC. Continuing with the disinfection drive, a team of JMC’s Health Department along with 89 corona warriors carried out intensive drive in containment areas and many other public places.
 
According to information in view of directives issued by B Chandrashekhar, Divisional Commissioner and JMC administrator and Commissioner Anup Kumar Singh, under the plan formulated to make containment areas and other areas disinfected, the Health Department team and corona warriors sprayed chemicals and other disinfects in the area.
 
Apart from the containment areas, the JMC team also make use of spray of chemicals and pesticides in other municipal wards to destroy breeding of mosquitoes. To check breeding of mosquitoes, use of fog emitting machine was done in various colonies considered prone to breeding of mosquitoes at present juncture. The disinfection drive is being carried out by malaria section of JMC’s Health Department. The drive has yielded positive results for residents. With educations institutions likely to get resumed shortly, special attention is being paid to sanitise schools and colleges across the municipal ambit.
