Madhotal police arrested a habitual criminal and seized a knife and nine mobile handsets amounting to Rs 86,000 from him, on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Ayush Daga (21), son of Anil Daga, resident of Paper Mill Dongri road, Heerapur in Raipur district, Chhattisgarh. SHO of Madhotal police station, Rina Pandey Sharma informed that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) police have started a special campaign against anti-social elements and listed criminals under the supervision of gazette officers. During the campaign, police received information about a suspected man who was sight near RTO with a sharp edged weapon. Taking prompt action on the information, police started a search in the identified area.
 
Witnessing the police team, suspect started running away from the spot but alert cops managed to catch the miscreant. In his search, police have seized a sharp edged knife and nine android mobile handsets amounting to Rs. 86,000 from the miscreant. Madhotal police have registered a case under Section 41(1-4) of CRPC and Section 379 of IPC.
 
In prima facie of the investigation, police learnt that the accused was booked in a theft case at Kabirdham police station in Chhattisgarh. The accused was arrested with working of police team led by SHO, Rina Pandey Sharma, ASI, Santosh Masram, Constables, Prem Narayan, Shashi Prakash and Dinesh Dubey.
