On the backdrop of Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday interacted with the Female Commandos of Chhattisgarh police, who risked their life to diffuse an IED bomb planted by Maoists in Dantewada. The Chief Minister interacted with the two female commandos Laksmi Kashyap and Vimla Mandavi from Dantewada DRG through video conferencing and showered praise for their bravery. The Chief Minister while boosting the morale of these female commandos as well as the entire police force, said that the courage and bravery with which the police and para military force personnel are working on the Left Wing Extremism front, will help in the normalisation and successful eradication of the LWE problem in Bastar region.
 
He said the good works of the security forces have helped earning the trust of the local people. It is worth mentioning here that the Maoists had planted a 10kg IED bomb on Surnaar Tatem roar under Katekalyan police station in Dantewada district. After getting information, the Bomb Disposal Squad of Dantewada DRG was rushed to the spot. Commandos Lakhsmi Kashyap and Vimala Mandavi who were part of the Bomb Disposal Squad diffused the IED. During interaction with the Chief Minister, the Commandos explained to him about the nature of their works.
 
They informed that when a new camp is opened, they visit the villages and interact with the villagers and assure them that the camp has been opened for their safety and security. Bastar IG Sudarraj P and other senior police officials along with Dantewada DRD Bomb Disposal Squad members were present on the occasion.
