District Collector Dr S Bharathi Dasan carried out surprise inspection of several ghettos and colonies in the limits of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) and assessed the work of surveillance teams engaged in door-to-door survey to identify people with Covid-19 symptoms. Raipur District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer and Nodal Officer Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh accompanied the District Collector on the occasion. The District Collector directed to suspend a Food Inspector and a Salesmen of Co-operative Food Grain Distribution Centre.
 
The officer duo visited several houses affected by corona infection including the residents of Changorabhata and interacted with them. They appealed the people to give correct information to the surveillance team. Based on the information received from this team, necessary action will be taken, if Covid-19 patients are found. The District Collector also visited Changorabhata Vegetable Market, Covid Testing Centre, Ration Shop and took detailed information about measures, corona testing facilities from local people. He asked the residents to inform the surveillance team if any symptoms of cold, cough, fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, body ache and taste and smell are not detected.
 
According to the information given to the surveillance team, corona test be held and their treatment will be arranged. Incident Commanders Sandeep Agarwal and Chandan Sharma were present. Later, the Collector went to Walfort City for inspection and interacted with people. He requested everyone to wear mask to break the chain of corona infection and wash hands regularly with soap or sanitiser.
