rates of vegetables have once again reached to zenith. The increased rates of vegetables are leaving people for gasping. Now no green vegetable is less than Rs 40 to Rs 50 per kg. Vegetable sellers are saying that vegetable supply has been impacted and due to this reason, vegetable rates have gone high. Potatoes are being sold at the rate of Rs 40 per kg. Beans are being sold above Rs 50 per kg. Brinjal rates have also reached around Rs 50 per kg. Sponge Gourd rate in retail are around Rs 100 per kg. Tomatoes are being sold at the rate of Rs 50 to Rs 60 per kg.
 
Overall, green vegetables have gone out of reach of common men as their rates are all time high. People think twice before purchasing green vegetables. Now women are finding hard in maintaining the kitchen budget as high rate vegetables are affected kitchen budget adversely.
 
Vegetable vendors are telling that high rates of vegetables are likely to continue until vegetable supply becomes normal. Lady fingers rates are constantly at or above Rs 60 per kg. Poor people are at receiving end owing to high rates of vegetables. They are unable to purchase green vegetables. What is worse that even rates of pulses are high.
