Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chhattisgarh Farmer Cell In-charge advocate Shatruhan Sahu has called off indefinite hunger strike on Thursday following assurance from Raipur District Administration that necessary action will be initiated to curb illegal sand mining. It is to be mentioned, Sahu had been observing hunger strike since October 2 at Budha Talab, Raipur, demanding action against sand mafias active in Dhamtari, Baloda Bazaar, Gariaband and other parts of State and officials of the mining department sheltering them. AAP district units had on Wednesday submitted memorandum to all the district administrations across State, addressing Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and drawing his attention towards illegal sand mining.
