On completion of ‘Jan Kalyan Yatra’ taken out by acting President of Youth Congress Shashank Dubey, Youth Congress tried to gherao CM House in state capital on Thursday. When demonstrating Youth Congress workers started scaling barricades, police used force against them and arrested them. Jan Kalyan Yatra, which had commenced from Jabalpur on September 24 and covered distance of around 400 km, culminated at State Congress headquarters.
 
After this, Youth Congress raised the issues pertaining to farmers, unemployment, increasing number of corona cases, less testing of pandemic. Under the leadership of Shashank Dubey, Youth Congress workers started to march towards CM House. Police tried to stop them in way but they moved ahead. When they started to scale barricades, police personnel used force against them and arrested them. Those who were arrested included Indian Youth Congress National General Secretary and State Incharge Harish Pawar, Youth Congress Acting President Shashank Dubey etc.
 
They alleged that whatever oppressive policies State Government is adopting against them, they are undeterred and will continue to raise public issues. During CM House gherao, YC workers raised slogans. YC leaders have censured lathi charge during CM House gherao.
