Uddip Social Welfare Society celebrated Diwali in advance with Divyang and needy children at Mother Teresa orphanage by distributing gifts and essentials to them amid COVID-19 pandemic on Monday. Founder of Uddip Social Welfare Society Poonam Shroti and members spread happiness to the Divyang and needy children by presenting them various gifts.
 
The children were very happy receiving gifts for Diwali. Also, the Uddip Social Welfare Society distributed clothing, food, stationery and sweets to the children. Poonam’s colleague and member of Uddip social Welfare Society, Mohammad Suboor says “In this COVID era, people are facing many difficulties for last seven months. Therefore, it is our responsibility to jointly extend our best possible efforts and help to the needy people.”
 
Poonam Shroti, who is a recipient of the President Award, for working in the area of children with disabilities and one among the 100 women achiever of India believes “I have never considered my disability as my weakness; instead I have been working for the rights, needs and social equality of disabled people through the organisation for last seven years. This is the reason why our organisation is making efforts to bring some light into the lives of these Divyang orphan kids and needy children on this Diwali and will continue to do such works in future also.”
