Chavan memorial open blitz chess meet tomorrow

KISANRAO Chavan Memorial Open Blitz Chess Championship organised by Power Chess Academy will be held on November 15, informs IA Deepak Chavan through a press release.
The one-day tournament, that will be the third Vidarbha-level event by PCA will be conducted on lichess.org platform for chess players of Vidarbha region only at 3.30 pm.
 
The tournament is organised in memory of Kisanrao Chavan and is sponsored by his son Sureshrao Chavan. Total prizes money of the tournament is Rs 3000. Time control for each players will be three minutes plus three seconds increment from move number one. Total nine rounds will be played during the tournament .
 
Last date for registration of tournament is November 14.
 
Players interested may contact IA Deepak Chavan, or FA Umesh Panbude, SA Roshan Sahare (Gadchiroli), NI Ninand Saraf (Amravati), SA Sudhanshu Gaidhane (Gondia).
 
Entry fee for the tournament is Rs 100 with late of fee Rs 50 till 12 noon on November 15.
 
Cash prizes will be there for the top eight players. Apart from this three best female players and three best Nagpur players will also get cash awards. Prizes in the form of free entry to next tournament of Power Chess Academy will be awarded to those lucky players for who finish at 25th, 50th and 75th positions. Lichess user ID is mandatory to play this event.
 
E-Certificate will be provided to all players for participation in the tournament after completion of tournament (in 4 days). During tournament arbiters can ask any player to play on video call/zoom call. If he fails to play on video call then the player will be disqualified from tournament. If there is tie for any position after applying tie break ,then prize fund will be shared between the players. Organiser/Arbiters decision will be final and binding to all.
 
One player is eligible for only one prize. Prizes will be send after checking games by anti-cheating committee.
If a player is found suspicious of using external help/engines, he will not be considered for prizes. Organisers reserves the right to identify and block the suspicious players during the event/after the event as well to ensure fair play.
Organisers also reserve the right to reject any entry without giving any reason.
