Proposal to increase 970 nursing seats in medical colleges approved

Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang granted approved the proposal of Medical Education Department for new syllabus and to increase number of seats in Government Nursing Colleges from education session 2020-21. According to the proposal, as many as 440 seats have been increased in BSc Nursing, 260 in Post BSc Nursing and 270 seats in MSc Nursing in six medical colleges.
 
As many as 60 to 120 seats have been approved for BSc Nursing, 60 seats in post basic nursing, 50 seats in MSc Nursing in Government School of Nursing Hamidia Hospital Bhopal. Likewise, 30 to 120 seats of BSc Nursing, 60 seats in post basic of BSc Nursing, 50 seats of MSc Nursing in Government School of Nursing GM Hospital Rewa and 60 to 120 seats in BSc Nursing, 60 seats of post basic BSc Nursing and 50 seats of MSc Nursing in Government School of Nursing Medical College Hospital Jabalpur have been approved. Along with this, from 100 to 210 seats in BSc Nursing, 40 to 60 seats in post Basic BSc Nursing and from 50 to 100 seats in MSc Nursing of Government Nursing College Indore. 
Colleges where more seats have been approved by Government
In Bundelkhand Medical College Sagar, 60 to 120 seats of BSc Nursing, 20 seats of MSc Nursing and in Government School of Nursing JA Hospital Gwalior, 60 to 120 seats of BSc Nursing, 60 seats of Post Basic BSc Nursing and 50 seats of MSc Nursing have been approved.
Notably, by hike in seats, super specialisation and critical care like subjects would be conducted. This will help in bettering and increasing health services in state. Apart from this, new venues of job will also get opened for youths.
