This year, because of novel coronavirus pandemic and lockdown imposed to contain it, the public musical programmes were not held on Diwali. But different social and cultural organisations arranged the programmes on-line on virtual media. Global Bappa Team, London (UK) and Harmonika Entertainment Nagpur A premier show of musical programme of Hindi and Marathi songs titled ‘Surmayi Diwali’ was held on-line on the occasion of Laxmi Pujan. The theme was conceptualised by Raju Chopde and Rajesh Durugkar and Akanksha Nagarkar were the guest singers.
 
Other singers included Shivraj, Yogesh Paranjpe, Arvindkumar Shinde, Avinash Channe, Manisha Channe were also participated in the same. The programme started with Akankasha Nagarkar’s Aali Mazya Ghari Hi Diwali followed by different Hindi and Marathi songs. Dr Rajani Hudda anchored the event. Mangesh Patle (Synthesiser); Ulhas chitmulwar (Octopad); Shavindra Bisen, Ashok Reddy and Micheal also supported the singers. Harmony Events A musical programme of Diwali Pahat was organised on-line on the day of Laxmi Pujan. Harmony events organised two on-line programmes on facebook live.
 
Singers presented Abhanga, Natya Geet, Bhavgeet and Bhakti Geet etc. The singers included Gunwant Ghatwai, Akanksha Deshmukh, Kaivalya Kejkar, Swastika Thakur, Rajesh Durugkar, Gauri Shinde sung different songs. The theme was conceptualised by Director of Harmony events Rajesh Samartha while Shweta Shelgaonkar anchored both events. The events were co-sponsored by Aditya Anagha Co Operative Bank. Meanwhile, pujan of Idol of Goddess Laxmi was held at the residence of noted writer and President of Samiti, Ramesh Moudekar. The idol was decorated and prayers were offered to Goddess.
