SECRSA pays tribute to former footballer Rao

SPORTS fraternity of South East Central Railways Sports Association (SECRSA) paid glowing tributes to PJ Rao, a retired Loco Inspector/Diesel Shed, Motibag who was also an outstanding football player of yesteryears. Rao passed away at Chennai last Saturday. He was 85. After hanging his boots he was very much associated with the erstwhile SERSA and served as Joint Secretary. He contributed a lot for the development of SECRSA Stadium.
 
Rao was at the forefront while organising All India Railways and Inter-Divisional Championship at Nagpur. A condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Aditya Somkuwar, Senior Sports Officer, SECRSA. Rich tributes were paid to the departed soul. Somkuwar expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. A minute's silence was also observed.
 
Among those present were DS Dangi, Sports Officer, PR Kokash, Secretary, Rajesh Bihari, Addl Secretary, Radhe Shukla, Jt Secretary, Annirudha Sarwate, Asst Secretary, Srikant Roy, Asst Secretary, Ashok Patnaik, Amit Anthony, Shobha Yadav, Monika Raut, Neha and many other sports lovers of SECR.
